Be the Boss of Your Care at Home
For many individuals with disabilities, assistance with daily living activities is essential to live independently. Until 1999, limited options often led to reliance on family, institutional care, or expensive out-of-pocket services. Missouri Medicaid’s Consumer Directed Services (CDS) program, funded by federal and state resources, redirects Medicaid dollars to provide in-home care, eliminating the need for residential facility placement.
Program Requirements
To qualify for Shamrock Consumer Care’s Medicaid CDS services, you must:
- Be 18 Years of Age or Older.
- Have a Physical Disability.
- Be Able to Direct Your Own Care.
- Have Medicaid.
- Hire an Attendant Who is Not Your Spouse (Relatives Are Allowed).
